Director
Director of our Early Childhood Program, Wendy Shemer, has B.A. (Honors) and M.A. degrees in Psychology, as well as a MSW, and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She also has New York State N-6 teaching certification.
She has been associated with our Early Childhood Program for 30 years being involved, first as a parent of her two children who attended the school, then as an assistant teacher and head teacher of 3 and 4 year-olds. She was the founder and director of the Parenting Center, and was the social work consultant to
the school. She became Director of the ECP in 1997.Wendy also worked as
a psychotherapist at Family Services of Westchester, and currently has a
private practice.
Wendy, her husband and their children have lived in New Rochelle for
over 30 years.
